Johanna Mason and her ax from District 7 being the Lumber District
Slight spoilers ahead: She is my favorite character in the series (although it is extremely hard for me to choose) because she is not your happy, clean hero and almost a pure cold-blooded killer but sacrifices for the good of Panem....I believe that her anger and hatred comes from her experience in the games...I think that before she had a sensitive, adventurous spirit and it was twisted... her male District tribute maybe was a good friend or even love interest and she had to be the one kill him in order to win....In the beginning of her appearance, Suzanne gives us a strong feeling that she is working for Snow but after her bravery of cutting Katniss' tracker out we quickly think differently.....The best thing to me about her is that even after all the torture, sadness, and emotional damage the Capitol has done to her, she still chooses to fight for the good and I still think she has a good heart, she just has trouble showing it...the rose is a representation of all her lost loved ones, whoever they might be
Thank you!! I really wish there was more of a background to her in the books as to why she is the way she is....As soon as I found out she was good I was like "And Johanna just became my new hero" Because she is so different I usually gravitate toward her to be my favorite...her and Haymitch are probably my top two...but the best thing is, the characters in the hunger games are so well written that it's easy to say your favorite is not Katniss or the main and Katniss can even be kind of a jerk sometimes to be honest (even though she's WAY awesome don't get me wrong!!)
LOL, I totally agree. Haymitch was my favorite until Johanna and Finnick came into the picture, then he was in the top three And Peeta of course... so that makes it four... I could keep adding all night.
and the picture is really great too
She was my favorite (or one of my favorites
